Extension in minimum import price condition for glufosinate and its salts imports until April 2027

India's Directorate General of Foreign Trade has extended the existing Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition on imports of glufosinate and its salts until 12 April 2027. Glufosinate and its salts are an active ingredient used in herbicides. Under this condition, imports with a combined CIF value (cost, insurance and freight) and applicable anti-dumping duty below ₹1,154 per kg remain restricted, while imports meeting or exceeding this threshold remain free, subject to conditions. The measure continues the import restriction introduced in April 2026 and aims to protect Indian agrochemical manufacturers from lower-priced imports for fairer competition and stability in the domestic market.
