NPPA to revise guidelines for drug overcharging cases

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority is reportedly revising its internal guidelines for pharmaceutical overcharging cases following amendments to the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. The proposed framework would limit manufacturers’ liability to stock actually overcharged through identified distributors or retailers, where manufacturers have complied with previous price revisions.
