Recalling or relabeling existing anti-cancer medicine stocks not mandatory after MRP revision

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has clarified that recalling, relabeling or re-sticking existing stocks of anti-cancer medicines to reflect revised maximum retail prices (MRPs) is not mandatory, provided manufacturers and importers ensure price compliance at the retailer level. This clarification reduces the operational burden and costs associated with recalling and relabeling existing stocks for manufacturers and importers.
