Supreme Court reserves order on front-of-pack warning labels for packaged foods

The Supreme Court has reserved its order on a plea seeking mandatory front-of-pack warning labels for packaged foods high in sugar, salt and fat. The Court questioned FSSAI’s proposed 365-day voluntary compliance period and raised concerns regarding the need for another stakeholder consultation.
