CBIC introduces mandatory compliance checklists for drugs, cosmetics, medical devices and IVDs imports

CBIC has prescribed seven mandatory checklists for Customs verification of imported cosmetics, drugs, medical devices and IVDs before granting Out-of-Charge in PGA facilitated bills of entry.  Pending integration of regulatory documents with SWIFT 2.0, Customs officers must verify applicable licences, registrations, permissions and supporting documents. Importers are advised to upload required records on e-SANCHIT.
