India's High Court upholds cancellation of factory zone over processing unit delay

The Telangana High Court dismissed an appeal against cancellation of an oil palm factory zone allotment, holding that the allottee had failed to establish a processing unit within the stipulated 24-month period despite repeated opportunities. Observing unsatisfactory plantation performance and rejecting reliance on belated compliance steps, the Court ruled that continued non-compliance meant the Company could not expect the allotment to carry on indefinitely.
